Coach Marlon Smith

A New York City native whose basketball journey began with national recognition. Ranked as one of the top five middle school players in the nation and the No. 1 point guard who led his AAU team to a national title in 1999. At Archbishop Molloy High School under legendary coach Jack Curran, Marlon led his team in every major category points (24), assists (8), steals (3), rebounds (9) and minutes played  and helped them earn a No. 5 national ranking.

Highly recruited by nearly every major Division I program, he chose Penn State University, becoming the first player in school history to be named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team and ranking among the conference’s top five scorers in league play. His professional career took him to Cyprus, France, Hungary, Turkey, the Dominican Republic and the Jamaican National Team and he was once projected as a second-round NBA draft pick.

As a coach, Marlon brings a structured, highly skilled, and development focused approach. A natural leader, he challenges players to push beyond their limits while building the discipline, confidence and game IQ needed to excel at the next level.

Coach Nyrie Holliman

A former Division II athlete and dedicated educator who takes her role seriously and approaches it with passion and focus. A graduate of American International College, she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees while competing on a full basketball scholarship in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Now a Physical Education teacher in Peekskill, Nyrie also serves as the school’s varsity girls’ basketball head coach. She is committed to building her players’ skills, confidence, and character through hard work and mentorship.

Coach Ron Guillaume

Ron has been coaching basketball for over a decade, helping players grow as athletes and as people. A Stamford High School standout, he went on to play AAU and college basketball at Keuka College before moving into coaching in 2010. Ron brings a calm, steady approach to the game, focusing on building skills, teamwork and confidence. Now a full time member of Metro Hoopers, he enjoys guiding players to reach their potential both on and off the court.
